Artist Residence

Set beneath a canopy of towering trees, this residence for a local artist establishes a strong horizontal presence in contrast to the verticality of its surroundings. Glass block and clerestory windows carefully modulate natural light, balancing privacy and openness while allowing the owner's art collection to become an integral part of the living environment.
